After finally deciding to take the plaunge and get an asco i plumped for this one. Its lovely...
This was it a few months ago in bloom... (now finished)
[IMG][/IMG]

It started to send a 2nd spike and horror of all horrors i accidently broke it off. I was heart broken

And now to my joy It has grown more and I have not one but two new spikes growing. Its facinating watching them grow, and covered in happy sap

2nd new spike starting.....

Not sure how long it will be before 1st spike opens its flowers.........soon i hope

I have read that this Vasco. can bloom up to 5 times a year!
I bought one in June or July in bloom, then it started another spike that was eaten by some sort of critter in Sept. it now has another spike ! Very happy with this one....Jean

Yes i read somewhere that this one is a prolific bloomer......quite pleased about that really

I was so worried when I first got it that i wouldnt be able to keep it going as i had only ever had experience with phals but it seems quite happy. I completely soak roots once a week for a few hours in rain water and give it a feed very other watering.

I did perform a bit of surgery on it after hours of searching on the net

The roots were soooooo long when i got it that they were starting to rot in the vase (going black) but since i trimmed them - so they are not touching the bottom of the vase they r doing much better and its even sent out a monster thick root and a little small one off another root. So i must be doing something right
