Vanda Manuvadee
It finally opened!! Bought this little guy in May and it never bloomed before. Spent the summer outside, got 2 burned leaves in the process, then under a T5 light since August. Watered daily, fertilized every other. Yeaaaaaaaaa!

Gorgeous flower! You can notice the coerulea parent plant on the lip, form and color. This just opened so you will get a flatter bigger flower as they all open its blooms....the colors will also be more vivid and sharp.

I was expecting a much bluer color. Do you think it will get more blue with the age of the flower or on successive bloomings?

On the next blooming cycle you will get bigger, flatter and more vivid colors on your flowers....you have to expose it to longer daylight and colder nights to attain a deep blue tinge.
In Boulder, Colorado right now is high 50's in the day and tonight is low 30's....so you do not want to expose your Vanda to this....your plant will bloom again maybe in the next 4 months so it is still frosty outside....yet you can have high 70's indoors and you may take it outdoors in high 50's in bright shaded sun to let it spike for you and then this might produce a deeper bluish tinge.
