Vanda- yellow leaves- old roots fell off.

My one big Vanda coerulea came in a hanging basket festooned with Spanish moss. I was going to pull this moss off but then an orchid society friend was over visiting me and I asked him what the deal was with the Spanish moss--he advised me to keep the moss in place as the moss was a really good harbinger of how the plant was doing health wise. He explained that if the moss was a bright greenish white, it was in a good environment. What is good for the moss was good for the Vanda.
When I moved this plant or rather these plants from outside to inside, the moss started drying out, so I quickly watered it and kept watering it daily until the green returned to the moss. The Vanda never lost a leaf, in fact it developed more roots, a new leaf, and a flower spike since it came inside.
