1st time I've flowered a plant from the nursery this came from. Don't know if its a seedling or mericlone.
Quite happy with it given the size it is.

Awesome! I am so eager for my manuvadee to flower too. I've had it since last year august. It has grown so much from its small stage and so many new roots, but I suspect the hot summer wasn't conducive to flowering. I'm sure this christmas it will flower as the temperatures fall quite a bit!
Enjoy your blooms, this is a great hybrid!

This plant is very small for me to have thought of flowering & it spiked up during our coldest part of the year. My GH drops to 10c on most nights during this time. The good thing is that any vanda thats close to or is V. coerulea don't care, they seem to love it.

Yep, they certainly love a good drop in temperature; really does stimulate spiking. So you see why i'm eager for christmas season! Its spring now for you too, being in the southern hemisphere. Its fall time now and soon comes winter; although in Jamaica we simply get just lovely cool breeze and nights that are very chilly.

Not too shabby at all mate especially considering the size of the plant, may I suggest a clip to hold the spike to the wire?

Great flower! I have V. Manuvadee x Gordon dillon and look foward to the bloom now.
What do you have your vanda's growing in pots and baskets? What is the medium? I have mine in vase culture now and is growing very well but may want to try another potted so it is less time consuming with the daily watering.

The spikes so stiff, it would snap if I bent it. On a good spike I'd tie it up from the start. Flowered too many from another nursery that weren't true to label so caring is not there. Next spike will be attended to. Now that I know its correct anyway.
