Eclecticus chungii
A miniature I have home for less than a month, and that valiantly decided it wasn't to stop spiking and now flowering.
Only member of it's genus, and described in 2009.

It's an easy one but rare. I am in a flat, have a few mounted and a lot of orchids near them (below). The room there is between 22-23° and 20-21° right now.
It was happy in an orchidarium before, at his ex-owner's place with a lot of phals and warm temp-warm-hot species.
The flower is 1 cm wide, and I found out I've made a spelling error in the thread title 'hiding in shame"  |
