Here is a mature and quite old hybrid seedling. Really is a big plant; had to extend the wire hanger twice. lol
The older this cross gets the more flowers and spikes it can produce at once. By no means disappointing, and the quality of the flower is easily award quality and has potential for even the coveted FCC if grown well. This particular plant has an indigo blue flower and it is quite difficult to pick it up with flash without manually tinkering with my camera.
It blooms several times a year and the blooms last rather long; this plant is just over 5 feet tall and luckily I have managed to keep most of the very old base leaves which suggests that it is very happy where it is.
Flower count is 25 on this spike and I must mention that these grow quickly and spikes develop and flower very quickly when mature.
FYI, if you can manage to give this guy a lot of diffused light and full morning sun, the spikes will be much stronger and less likely to need much support.
Enjoy!
