Aranda Noorah Alsagoff Blue
Here's my second blooming of this lovely cross. Very large flowers that get richer and deeper in colour with age. Quite a fast grower and has very neat and uniform leaf growth and they are quite often very erect and don't often need stakes equal to the length of the plant itself. This is just only flowering size and still relatively young so there is much to look forward to in the flower shape and colour!
Discovered thrips which i hand removed and subsequently sprayed my entire collection. There was only minimal damage and I am able to enjoy the majority of flowers in their entirety.
Enjoy!

I have been tempted by Arandas but I believe that they may need even more light than my vandas. Do you think they do? I would love to try some of the other hybrids, such as Christieara, Kagawawa. Mokara etc. I have a. Aeridovanda seedling, and Rhynchorides that should be interesting.

They can can take full sun but can bloom fine with several hours of high light conditions.

It sounds like they pretty much need the same light levels as vandas. I love the shape of these.

The shape gets even better when the plant matures. And a more even colour.
