I bought this from Clackamas Orchids in early 2007 as a keiki from a plant collected in Vietnam. It lives up to its name! The flowers have a strong scent of citrus and florals, with just a hint of cinnamon. The whole garden smells nice the 3 or so weeks it's in bloom.

I have walls of this species. Its such a beautiful plant foliage and all. Grows very quickly too. Lovely growing!
The only thing with these Aerides is that they aren't always yearly bloomers. I have had mine bloom years back to back but I haven't had my white ones bloom fro 2 years now.

It is very floriferous with three spikes thick with blooms....it must be very fragrant in that area. Good growing !

I'm grateful for this input. Mine has flowered 3 years but skipped twice and I assumed it was because of culture, years it may have received lower light than usual. 100 flowers on a medium sized plant is a massive expenditure of energy, especially when each flower is super fragrant. It's no surprise it takes it's time.
