Oh dear, it really go burnt. I think maybe you should try potting in a smaller pot that doesn't overwhelm the plant. Allow it to root faster and not have to worry about the pot staying too damp and causing roots to rot; because trust me you need as much healthy roots as possible and more new growth.
Follow all other guidelines as I mentioned before regarding the amount of light.
