Rhyncocentrum Ladda Gold
Rhy. coelestis X Asctm. miniatum var. garayi
This is a mini (2.5 inches pot) with sunset shades. The plant and flower looks very delicate. They bloom a couple of times a year and are strong growers. This has no fragrance yet very pretty and fun to grow.
I found three Ladda Gold in the net:
1)Ascocenda Ladda Gold is Ascda. Tubtim Velvet (big strong white - the plants I have seen are polyploidal - roots are pencil thick - one of few Vandaceous to frequently multi-spike, sometimes three at a time) crossed with Ascda Bangkhuntien Gold = also one of the most reliable blooming Vandaceous orchids.
2)Christeara Ladda Gold is quite a complex hybrid - a quarter Vanda denisoniana, a bit more from Euanthe sanderiana then ever decreasing portions of Asctm. curvifolium, Aerides flabellata and three other Vanda species which I cannot recall.
3)Rhyncocentrum Ladda Gold is a primary between Rhy. coelestis and Asctm. miniatum var. garayi – as captured in my pictures; it is more like minatum with small yellow-orange blooms than the coelestis but the spur of the buds resembles the parent coelestis.
This orchid is best grown hanging in baskets or mounted that require bright to full sunlight, high humidity and intermediate to warm temperatures. If hanging, the roots must be watered frequently. I slightly reduce watering in winter to every other day. Because of my grow zone and dry environment: I grow this in media that is well draining= small bark, charcoal, lava rock, hydroton and sponge rock. Weekly weakly fertilizer alternated with seaweed mix and worm tea mix.

Very pretty! I have one of these also and it's an excellent orchid. I think you'll find that it will eventually be fragrant.

I'm not good at describing fragrance, Bud. It's a very nice sweet fragrance. It's one of my most fragrant orchids.

Ooh, so beautiful!! I LOVE the way the petals get darker toward the edges. It's so cute, and compact... Great, cuz u can always find room for a mini sized orchid! Lol
I just looked up "Slyvie's Orchids", and I'm gonna go order this one right away! Lol, I found another orchid (a hybrid) that I have not, for the life of me, been able to find (for over a year) and they have it!! Thanks for the suggestion Bud!
