Ascda Princess Mikasa 'Sapphire'
Got this today via FedEx from orchids.com. Is this not the most anemic looking plant you've ever seen? Two good roots, the rest rotten and severely dehydrated leaves.

Looks like its been in soil or something?
Maybe try some amino k or seaweed to get the roots back.
I wouldn't either be happy with a plant that state, it might take another full season of intensive care before it will put out a spike

Brad, agreed... it needs some intensive care. I have mega thrive to douse it in hopes of getting new roots and thus healthier foliage going. I'll call them tomorrow to follow up because this isn't cool
It was planted in bark-- but clearly it was not doing well!

I've seen much worse, yours at least looks quite viable. But terrible to sell a plant like this.

I've emailed them about the sorry plant they sent so we shall see what happens. I will follow up with a phone call.

It does look pretty sad. I got a fee vanda when I bought a vasco for my birthday last year. My package was missing in the mail for 3 weeks but my free vanda looked a lot better that that, and the vasco was also great. They were only a little dehydrated.

I have to admit, I'm a little bummed out about this plant. I think I need to just stick with the vendors I know I can trust with specific alliances... for instance, orchids.com is good for phals but clearly NOT for vandals. Goodwin's Orchids is where I got my other plants and they're fantastic.

I first saw the picture and I was like, what the...lol
Cold and wet winter is not the best for vanda plants in Cali. lol
Hopefully they get you a health one or money back.
Otherwise, this variety makes such pretty flowers. what a pity!

No photo update but letting you all know that orchids.com have refunded me the cost of the plant. Meanwhile, I decided that this plant would be my next challenge. Nothing new to report but with one exception...it's thrown a new leaf and since this thing has been watered and allowed to air dry every day since I got it, the new leaf looks much much better than its predecessors. The others still look tired. I doubt they will improve. The plant has two roots and both have swelled up and appear green again when watered. So far it seems it is responding to treatment.
