Default Is this a keiki on my Vanda?

I have a coeruela and I have noticed that it has begun growing something from the stem. I first thought that there were two new roots emerging from the stem but after one has gone on to become a recognisable root, the other is doing something else...

I thought that keikis only happened once the plant was mature? The new growth is very bumpy like a blackberry. Any ideas folks? I know that it is not a spike

It looks like a root that has gotten stuck.

Oh, OK then. I was hopeful at first that it was a spike.. then I thought maybe keiki but I never considered a root..

Yeah it's a main root that's appearing. One of mine has been shooting out a lot of these the last month.

That will happen with Vandas..they will shoot roots out from seemingly random places.
