Vanda Motes' Indigo
Not my first vanda but the first to successfully bloom, grow leaves and root. I have my t5 lamp and my pimped out humidifier to thank!!!! My very first vanda is to the left of this one. I have abused it horribly. But even it is growing happily now.
Btw, this plant is huge. I have no idea what I'm going to do in two years when it's too big for my grow area. Guess ill have to get a green house.

Thanks, Tucker. High praise from a southern Florida grower...I'll take it! Always admired your plants.
The double spike thing may not be a fluke. When I got the plant it had two spikes but they aborted in transit back to Colorado. I managed to get it to grow a ton and make many new roots but the double spike was a complete surprise. I believe it's prone to double spiking.

Thanks all! What amuses me about this one is that the buds opened and weren't terribly nice looking and then a few days later....poof....an abundance of blue where there was once white. Weird!

Amazing!
I love the color and you can see from the lip the coerulea parentage.
The bottom seedling leaves can be compared to the upper wide and longer leaves that means it is happy growing in your care.
Both Vanda are making robust roots and lots of them....in a couple of years they will grow taller and the roots longer....bet you will have a greenhouse in 5 years....
