Hmm, I can't see anything for sale:
This seller currently has no items for sale.
Am I spelling it right. Ebay shows japaneseorchid as being in the UK and the feedback shows their customers are happy with the items purchased, such as shoes and handbags.
Oh wait, I think you meant japaneseorchids (plural), NOT japaneseorchid (singular).

I've started looking for Sedirea japonica as well. Haven't smelled one of those yet. Don't care. Getting one.

Thank you for the visit, Rose!!!!
The fragrance is classy and clean, like jasmine and orange flowers=in fact a Japanese perfume company bottled it and it is an expensive commodity.

I'll let you inform Satomi-san.

It just occurred to me. They parentheses "japaneseorchid" in the listing title not as their ebay sellar name but as a description for the item.
In that case, its missing a space.

I just bought one in California, in the town of Cupertino, a small place called: Melissa orchids.
I knew nothing of this plant, but wanted to be able to bring back a plant that would travel cross country with me in a plane. My two spike plant made the trip and is now blooming beautifully with a great subtle fragrance.. I sure will pay attention to this plant and not let it perish.
I read it can tolerate colder conditions. Any experience?

Sedirea japonica photo
Here is the photo of the plant I bought three weeks ago in California. I got lucky with this plant and tucked it in my carry on luggage. It made it ok, lost a couple of buds, but it looks great. Looking at some of the photos from new world orchids, I think I will repot per Japanese style, with plant in spaghnum moss above a decorative pot.

Very nice!
You could have put it inside a paper bag so it wont be squished....it would pass inspection with pot. media mix and all. I had two flowering Phals in a double paper bag on my flight from New York to Houston....the flight attendant even put it in a hanger in the coat closet. Its when you go in or out of the country that you get severe inspection. Those are not from the wild they are grown in farms or greenhouses.

Traveling with orchids
I rolled up the plant in newspaper, the sales lady told me how. It bunched upwards and it was comfy inside. I lost one bud to bud blast moving from one place to another before even taking the flight across country. Thanks for the support!
