First ever reblooming!!!

These blooms last me well over a month. And before they finished, a new spike began to grow and is opening in the next few days.

I have an asco Suksamran sunlight spots that I hope will bloom as well as your Suksamran. So far it is stubborn

Will you please post pictures when the new blooms open? I am so desperate for mine to bloom. I promised myself a vanda of the hot pink variety if I could get mine to bloom successfully...

Be sure it has high light and plenty of water. I fertilize my larger vandas heavily, too. They seem to be in a constant state of growth, whether it be new leaves or roots or spikes. I have notice a pattern with mine....leaf growth seems to be slow and steady but constant and root growth will be in fits and starts....when I see the root tips slowing (it turns that dry color versus the colorful look to the new roots tips) I can expect a spike.

I will get a pic tonight. They opened this past weekend. The spike isn't as impressive as the last two, but the color is still pretty awesome. They open very purple in color but brighten to a near blue when mature.

I promise myself new plants, too, if I can get ONE of them to bloom, that opens the door to possible future purchases!

Don't be afraid to give it a lot of light, within reason, and water and food. I'm no expert by any means but these plants seem to just be ALIVE all the time if they are given those three things.

Green root tips mean new roots...active growth of the plant on a whole. Those tips turn purple/brown when the root stops growing. There will be a period of growth and storing of food converted from light etc and then a spike. Spikes develop and mature into buds and eventually open and take form & true colour; by the end of this whole bud opening process you will notice those coloured root tips shrink until its just velamen. And the process repeats; you will even seee those older roots grow new tips.

I also fertilize my vandas well. I had no problem getting my Pachong blue vanda to bloom, but for some reason this plant is stubborn. I try to give them as much light as they can take without burning. It looks good, though, so maybe bloom will come soon. The roots are active right now.
