Vandopsis: where in European community?
Hi guys, I'm not able to fin Vandopsis at adult (or almost adult) size . Do you know somebody who sell them in Europe? Or maybe somebody of you has some plants to sell?
Thank you
Filippo
EDIT:
I posted the same message in another forum and now I'm banned because " No public posts regarding sales or vendors allowed in this forum.", I suppose I make the same mistake here, or not? If I did, mods: delete my thread!
Sorry!

Hi Filippo,
Orchids and more in Germany has some but you will have to check size of plants.
The problem with this genera is that most species have a very slow growth.

Sorry I can't help with where to get them
However we don't mind you asking such questions here on Orchid Board, and we don't mind people answering such a question with links to vendors they have found with them.
We don't like someone trying to promote a vendor without declaring that they are linked to that vendor (for example work for them) but sharing who are good vendors and who has certain plants is not a problem here.

My opinion is exactly the same you wrote. This is a place where we can share successes, failures, techs, expereinces and, why not, advices about shopping.
Have a nice day,
Filippo

I know that Claessen Orchideeen here in the Netherlands does a lot of vandaceous plants. Unfortunately their website is down at the moment, so I can't check for Vandopsis. I'll have a look tomorrow.

So I checked their website this morning, and I was right, they have 2 different Vandopsis: parishii and gigantea, both 2 years from blooming. Orchideeen-shop.nl - D webwinkel voor orchideen It's a top class vendor, though shipping outside of the Netherlands is a bit steep. However I did get an email from them in December saying that they were reduced shipping costs as of February, but the amount is not known yet. So if you are interested in plants from Claessen, I'd wait a few more weeks to see how the shipping prices change.

That's the reason why I love OB more than other forums.

Besides Orchids and more, there's La Cour des Orchidées and Buscalorchidées that have this genus.
Both are reputable and serious producers. They do produce a large part of their assortment. I can't tell about their English capacities though…
Catalogue la cour des orchides, Paphiopedilum-Zootrophion
Vandopsis, Vandopsis undulata
And I'm not involved professionally with them.
