I have a lamellata Boxallii "Tom Ritter" that just put out 2 new spikes, I'll post photos when it flowers. It is very similar to your photo, just slightly different markings.
Great photo by the way!

Very nice and elegant pattern of colors. Thanks for sharing.

Boxallii is from the Philippines and is a pretty variety of this species.
I also have this one, but it doesn't grow well in my growing area.

If you want to grow V. lamellata in the greenhouse, personally i think this is an easy plant to handle.

When you say temperature is lower than 10 decrees (~50 degrees F) is that night lows or day time lows?

It means the lowest temperature in a day, usually in early morning.
Since Taiwan is an island, the temperature is relatively constant and hence we don't have remarkable temperature change during day and night, especially in the northern Taiwan where I live.

I have relatively recently gotten hold of V. lamellata var. boxalii and it is now in a vase where it looks happy. These species are available if one knows where to look in Europe As for the species hybrids thing, i have to say that I do grow both with equal passion. In hybrids I prefer coerulea hybrids to Sanderiana ones (more exciting colours and easier to bloom).

Since coerulea and sanderiana have nicer shape and larger size, they are the mainstream of parents of modern vanda hybrids.
But i seldom grow these hybrids due to their large size.

Pheli, those are beautiful flowers. This species is on my list of new orchid species to add to my collection next spring. It's a fragrant species, isn't it? I think I read that somewhere (but I could be confusing it with something else). How long do the flowers last?

Steve, the species has fragrant flowers. The flowers usually last for more than one month in my growing area.

Very nice, Pheli. Do you, by chance, grow Vanda merrillii--or is this species popular in Taiwan? Although I have a large plant that produces lots of wonderfully fragrant flowers in the summer that last more than a month, everything I've read about this species indicates that the flowers are (for a vanda) short-lived, which makes me think that I might have a hybrid. Just curious to see if you have first-hand experience with this species.
