Very nice! I'm glad you have this one!
Mine is very late this year; I didn't think it would bloom but I see a spike starting. It was late last year but not this late. I probably need to water it more.

Actually alot of Southern California is subject to hard frosts...
Luckily my area isn't.. which allows me these beautiful orchids and my amazing jasmine and gardenias.

Wow there are some huge roots on it as well, the plant looks great.
I've been looking into tricks to taking true colors of flowers and noticed that you took the photos almost into the sun which is pretty much opposite to most photography. Does it help with the color of the flowers?

I like to photograph when it is overcast skies, it gives the true color of the flower....it is not 'into the sun' but the skies seem to show it as that way....the daylight brings out the shimmer of the petals and the details of the form
