V. Kampirananda Dennisoniana x ASCDA. Sea Change '4n' - Orchid Board

Pretty flowers and even nicer scent.

I have found several different versions on its name online, with differences in the way the ASCDA part is handled - for example, "Sea" also being "See" or the last part as one word like "Seachange" or "Seechange", etc.

Does anyone know if it has been renamed at some point, hopefully making it easier to remember?!

I checked Orchidwiz and don't see it as a registered cross but the parentage is listed above for you.

I just LOVE the colors in this one...and it's fragrant!!!

V. Kampirananda x Ascda. Seechang was registered at RHS as Ascda. Chocolate con Queso (by Rodriquez) in June 2002 -- the originator (person that made the cross) is unknown.

The fiddle-shaped lip with its obtuse side-lobes and yellow base color are reminiscent of V. denisoniana that's in your plant's background.

The scent reminds me of far-off orange blooms. My wife says its a "floral" scent. Whatever it is, it is subtle and very pleasent.

Thanks to all for the info - apparently, my tag is misprinted. At the end of the day, I can now actually remember its name!!

I have this plant and the scent reminds me of White Shoulders perfume! It is really quite lovely.
