I am a firm believer in the photographer and the composition more so than how many megapixels. I have taken National Geographic-esque photos with a simple canon point & shoot.

I guess it depends if you are a Canon or Nikon user (or something else), but I just bought the newly released Nikon D600 which is a fairly well reviewed full frame camera. It is my first step into full frame. Pretty affordable at around $2G.

I did post an orchid or two recently which were pretty much the first things I used it for. The weather was not the best here and I have next to no orchids in bloom at the moment. I like nature photos best
