You are so lucky! Mine are being stubborn right now but I expect spikes soon. it sure is something to look forward to at this time of year. Of coarse, you have the perfect climate for them.

We're good. Many parts of NJ and New York are in very bad shape, but suffered only a mess of tress and debris. Our neighborhood has a lot of trees down, but no one was hurt and no one had their house or car damaged, so we consider ourselves very lucky. We'll be without power for a while, but we have a generator so we're not completely in the dark

Lovely flowers....
I was wondering why you cut the leaves instead of just wiping them clean with fungicide or insect repellent....it needs the leaves to manufacture food, even if it is infested it still does the job....next time dont worry about blemishes on the leaves....the important thing is it gives you beautiful blooms

Hi,

The leaves of the mimi palmer were suddenly bleached and sunken after a night of heavy continuous rain. I was shocked and wasn't sure if it was fungal or bacterial or viral, so erring on the side of caution I had them cut, and I was surprised that it began to spike 2 weeks after having the leaves cut.

Could you advise on what caused the leaves to bleach??

Thanks!

Eugene
