For anyone who ships plants to another country. We would need to have permits, though plenty go through without them.

Where we are we can only get a fraction of what is available in the states. Some get around this by joining orchid clubs and making wish lists. Then someone goes on a buying trip or the import them. Unfortunately I can't join, it's too far away and I don't drive.
I'm going to phone an orchid guy in our province and buy me an orchid for my birthday. I hope he has a nice red!

Thank you. I have been trying to get a red vasco for 3 years. If he still doesn't have one I'll settle for a red vanda or asco.

I don't think you will be settling in any instant whichever you get. They all mature and display beautifully hun

That's very true. I want one that blooms often and some vascos are nicely fragrant, but they are all beautiful anyway.
