I saw this at a local farmer's market on wednesday. It reminded me of a white vanda with intense green bottom sepals that I found online some time ago.
This one was just smaller and green was much lesser, but I liked it enough and brought it home.

This one has two spikes with about 8 flowers on each. I like how the bottom two sepals are green.

Slightly vanilla ice cream scent in the early morning. I've seen other people growing this type in a vase, or potted in open media. I have to decide which way I want to go before I dry and kill this again.

Currently hanging in the basket it came in on my south window. It really adds tropical charm to the living space!

First three pics were taken on rainy day, which is why they are rather dark. It looks much better in th sunlight I think.

If you aren't prepared to water this plant every day (when the sun is shining), you should try the vase trick. The vase keeps humidity and air around the roots.
The vandae are heavy drinkers, especially when they are flowering. You'll know when the plant's thirst has been quenched - the velamen turns green.

Mine is hanging by the window that gets sun from noon til early afternoon. I will have to see how it grows. I can move it to all afternoon sun area as well, but I guess I won't do that until the flowers are gone.

I mist it in the morning and evening. The roots turn green as soon as I start misting. but in between those misting sessions, the roots look bone dry.

Our collection is mostly vandas which we grow in a greenhouse (in NH).
The advice we got when we bought our first vanda was to treat them like mermaids ... keep sun on their faces, wind in their hair and gentle waves lapping at their fins.
Translation: bright light, warm temps – 12+ hours daylight; temperature 55–85 (Winter low 60 to 70; Summer high 85); air movement around entire plant
humidity (60–80% with air temp of 65).
With the cost of propane what it is, we've lost a few plants over the years but the mermaid treatment has paid off with somewhat fewer flowers but gorgeous inflorescences.
We keep smaller plants indoors where they get 'the vase' treatment.

I usually plunk it in the bucket 1x daily. It's usually in there till I get done watering my others or it could be left for an extended period if I forget about it. 10 min to hours?? That is usually in the summer. In winter maybe 10 mins. till the roots are good & green.
