I'm excited to see this plant doing well in S/H as I have a Vascostylis Viboon Velvet in a basket too and it's been dragging along for 2 years, blasting buds here and there. Do you have it bare root in a basket? My vandas do very well with sphag and charcoal. It holds some humidity and it is easy to tell when they are dry.

The plant is bare root in a basket setting atop a vase with some moss in the bottom of the vase to catch misting drips. I've also tried it in the basket alone with some charcoal and that seems to be equivalent to the vase.
