Yes I learned my S/H method from Ray....I learned it long ago while I was still in another forum....Ray even doubted if I was doing it right because he could not see the water level due to the refraction of the glass on water....

In fact, Ray advised me not to grow my Vandacious on S/H....because Vandas dont like their roots on cold water....so I never let my Vandacious plants experience cold water(always listen to tips Ray gives me)....they are at all times on room temperature, on heat matts in winter or sprayed with tepid water from the sink
its easier to grow Vandacious on S/H than constantly spraying and watering them several times a day on mount or baskets (I have a couple of large Vandas in baskets and its too large to grow them now on S/H = so I must do what I must do)
