Beautiful blooms ! I am sure it does not have the characteristics of a Vascostylis. Nevertheless: a Miniatum is mini...about 5 to 7 inches in height....I dont know how tall your plant is; I cant tell.

Jeff, it is beautiful whatever the name! To me it definitely looks like it has Rhynchostylis in there, probably coelestis since the spike is so upright. And its foliage reflects Ascocentrum garayii (often mistaken for and/or mislabeled as miniatum), and definitely has the coloring of garayii or miniatum. My best guess is Rhynchocentrum Ladda Gold, which the RHS site says is A. miniatum x R. coelestis.

I think Rhyncocentrum Ladda Gold is a pretty good fit. It is (Ascocentrum miniatum x Rhyncostylis coelestis), and your flowers look a lot like an orange coelestis

I took this to the Plantation Ochid Society meeting and a knowledgeable expert there told me that he's pretty sure it's Rhyncocentrum Ladda Gold. He said he's very familiar with that cross. It also won a blue ribbon.
