Vanda tessellata ('Black' X 'Blue')
After growing an unflowered seedling for 1.5 years, here are its first two spikes. The fragrance is wonderful, a combination of grape and vanilla.

Spectacular display of flowers. It is thriving well on vase culture. What a happy healthy plant. The roots are growing robust and strong.
Its not a seedling anymore, it has grown taller and in ten years it might reach the ceiling from where its at

Thanks all!
I am pleased with it. When the first flower popped open I was wondering if I had a hybrid and not a true tessellata. But from what I have found out since, it seems to be. I encourage all comments.

I do think it is a hybrid, but a wonderful one that does include tessellata. The form is not true to any of the many variances of tessellata. And the spots look like they are coming from V. tricolor var sauvis somewhere in the background.

I appreciate all of your comments.
Thank you all for taking the time to post.
Gage, what is leading me to believe that it is not a hybrid are the pointed side lobes. Granted they are not sharply pointed as in many tessellatas. They are still pointed though.
