This cute miniature orchid always charms me when in flower. I don't know exactly why, but I think them fascinating. My plant is still little more than a baby and seems vigorous enough to produce two spikes. I keep imagining how beautiful it would be seeing it in nature! Enjoy!

Wow...mine only has small clusters, not a nice spike like that one!

Mauro that is a beauty! I love the pictures you take....I hope someday mine will be as good of quality. I like how you captured the crystalline sheen look of the flower, if that is the correct terminology. I think I may add this one to my wish list

Very nice, Mauro. It's a shame that it's such a small plant because I can't think of any excuse why I couldn't fit one in my collection. I might have to give in to temptation and see if I can get one as an early Christmas present! Congratulations on your beautiful flowers--and it's a handsome plant as well.

Another favorite of mine, Mauro!
I haven't gotten mine to send out a second spike yet but I now see there's hope

Many thanks, guys! You are all very kind!
Becca, I am not a photographer, but I try to capture the beauty of my orchids as faithfully as I can and these modern digital cameras allow (they are not that good in capturing so many color shades!).
Becca, Steve, you may be sure that this little orchid is really rewarding. It deserves a little room in the orchid house for sure.

Mauro,

Great photo! I've been enjoying one of these plants for thirteen years now. A reliable late summer bloomer usually with two spikes. After all these years, it is still relatively small -- I guess that's why its named "miniatum"!!
