You plant looks like straight Rhy. gigantea. If that is the case, LA winter is too cold for it to bloom outside. Ry.gigantea is a warm grower and most peoples grow this species above 65F year round.

Both coelestis and retusa has narrow leaf and both are very cool tolerant, and can bloom not problem with temp down to 50F. I say try growing it in 60F range and see it it bloom.

Thanks for the info. So you think it was mislabeled? I don't really have room for another warm grower. I will see if I can find a way. I always do LOL
