From what I understand, the roots have to be growing well. I think mine should bloom soon, but it sure is being stubborn. It is supposed to be a good bloomer.
It's usually a temperature variation between day and night, as well as seasonal changes in temperatures that trigger blooming. But the plant has to store up the energy to do it.

I agree about the temperature changes. Mine has good light in a South window where there is a temperature drop at night. Hopefully it will realize how pampered it is and pay me back!
Hello again everyone. I couldn't resist posting another picture of my vanda's siamese twin roots… As you can see from the photo, they have now turned into triplets! The tip of one of them looks like it's splitting in 2 again. Even though no one seems to have encountered roots like this before, it would be great if a more experienced grower could shed some light on what could cause this kind of growth… Thanks!
You really do have an alien root there!! Did you give it anything else apart from orchid fertilizer? and what type do you use? There are many knowledgable people on this board and hopefully someone can help you.
I'm not an expert but I would not worry about it..
I'm not worried about it, just curious to learn what would cause it… I don't give it anything but a balanced orchid fertilizer.
Thanks for the answers!
