Ascda. Macarena Iglesias
This ascocenda bloomed three times last year. It always has around 9 flowers but this time it has 15 flowers on one spike. I had to tie the spike up so it wouldn't break.

I wish I knew. We had a cold snap when it was just starting to spike and I have a feeling that might have affected it.

I live in South Florida so I can grow it outdoors all year long. It's in a basket with no medium and the roots hanging loose. I water almost every day, now that I'm retired, and I fertilize once a week. Vandas grow really well in this part of Florida.

Love the vibrant color of these (even though, being that it looks like it has a lot Euanthe sanderiana in its "blood," it would die a quick death for me here). How big is the plant?

Oh wow, that's a very impressive spike!!! I didn't even know that a single spike could carry that many blooms. It must be a very happy and well grown plant to be putting on such a show.
