I'm with Phantasm on this one -

I'd call the plant rough. "Healthy" is a bit of a stretch. The leaves look like they've had rough handling but the roots show some good healthy ones and should be okay.

I have gotten vandas in this condition (a couple impulse buys at our locate Big Box store where the plants came in plastic bags with pictures stapled to them - I knew exactly what I was getting but plunged anyway, so goes my addiction...). With the proper care, it should come back just fine.

I've bought a few plants on ebay with mixed results early on until I set a couple rules for myself and since then, no problems - fingers crossed:
1) only buy when a picture of the actual plant I will get is posted in the auction
2) only buy from sellers with a 99% or better rating. Never, ever lower.
3) never bend rule 1) or 2) - even a little bit.

With these rules, I'm paying a bit more for my ebay plants but I have been happy with the results.

Good Luck.

This is my first vanda and I know with 100% I'll kill it sooner or later, so its better for me to get a refund.
