Vanda Patchara Delight (2nd blooming)
This is still a young 4 yr old plant that bloomed for me last summer. This week as it fully opened all its buds for the second time; I was surprised that it has more darker blooms than last time, flatter and bigger.
Hanging in the south facing window gives it bright shaded light and my building heater steams at about 4 ft away and the electric fan sways it like a balmy sea breeze...this loves to feed a lot and drink a lot...this has no rest period...it is constantly getting weekly weakly fertilizer of Algoflash...alternating weekly with a supplement of worm tea mix and seaweed mix; then I flush it twice a month with full running water to remove algae formation and let it rest from any fertilizers and give it just plain water from the tap...I have this in S/H method...inside a glass vase drilled with holes and medium sized clay LECA(I made sure it is uniform and weeded out the small and large clay globules)...and put the whole glass inside a redwood basket to hang...

Very nice, Bud.
As much as I love the flowers, I am curious how those roots are growning in S/H as you described. Would you mind posting a picture of it?

Thank You, Naoki ! The roots are all growing berzerk in a bareroot basket situation but when I put it on S/H , majority of the roots are contained even if the new growths tend to go astray...
only 1/4 level of water. The root tips dont like being immersed in cold water, not unless they get so accustomed to it that my other Mokara is completely immersed in water now...
*the picture is of last summer as the blooms were gone I repotted it on S/H but took a pic of it with no water
