Default Vanda coerulea 'alba' - NOT

Gotcha!

I think I successfully pollinated the flower. The flower itself completely turned to WHITE when I checked the plant this evening.

The pollen was from one of the hybrids - V. bensonii x V. pumila.

Oh, no. It is not the alba form. Upon the pollination, it turned completely 'white'. The lip was broken off as I was trying to insert the pollen.

This is the original plant and the flower.

Hi Naoki and Bud,

On the alba form the entire flower is white and on Naoki's flower, the base of the lip still has a blue spot. Then with the alba form, it is the whole spike who produces white flowers, not a single alba flower among other blue ones.
Some photos of the alba form ( who was in fact registred as Vanda coerulea luwangalba in 2008) that I took during a show in Bangkok :

But I used to have the same experience than Naoki next to pollination of V. coerulea with a flower who became white.

All my best !

Hahaha!!! I was thinking of how ironic that a species whose name means 'blue' has a white variety!
