Thank You for the visit and your kind encouraging words.
It may be winter outside my apartment but it is nice and toasty inside. Sometimes with chestnuts roasting on an open fire....
Thanks to my large windows my Vandas can thrive with bright winter sun.

I have a seedling of this plant, that I have had a year. It was very tiny when I got it. I wonder how big it usually is when it first blooms, any idea?

Give it three more years, Colette. My very first picture is four years old that I acquired as a 2 yr old seedling. Notice the pencil thick roots but merely 10 leaves ....now it has double thick roots and 24 set of leaves. It gave me three basal keikis and sadly they cannot be removed yet because it has not brought out roots=it is still depending on the mother plant.

Yes, I make it a point to record every progress of my orchids. This Vanda coerulea is given loving care that is why it rewards me with beautiful flowers.
