I have seen the line bred improved coeruleas coming out of Thailand. While I know that any organism can be improved upon through line breeding, I have serious doubts about the improved coeruleas, based on color, shape, petal stance and plant size, I am convinced that they are not pure coeruleas. For that reason, I have declined to get any of those plants.

Fair assumptions but I don't agree. While I am sure they have some falsely labeled, i do know that for years of line breeding and select crossing of high quality seedlings they have been able to get larger and flatter flowers; though not the dinner plate esque flowers you get from sanderiana lines. By taking the best of generations of seedlings, experienced hybridizers have done incredible work with modern Coeruleas.
