Unhappy vanda chewed/help!

My (bad boy) cockatoo chewed my 24inch Vanda down to 12inches. The plant had several roots growing up the stem. The plant also had 1 keiki on top which is now gone. I would like to keep this plant. The left over 12 inches has several spiraling roots. What to do? Please help.

Hello and welcome.
For my 2 cents: If your vanda still has roots, just continue growing as you have been.

I agree with Joann, all you can really do is carry on to care for it as normal.

If the remaining piece has roots then even if it's lost the top it hopefully will keiki if you keep caring for it. When an orchid like this looses it's top it will try to form a new 'top' in the form of a basel keiki.
