... watched spikes never bloom - or so it feels like that!

Spikes one week later and should bloom this week, I think. Note that the 'bracts' are still green. I'm thinking the constant high humidity allows them to stay that way.

Wow! That thing is getting ready to explode with beautiful blooms, be patient and make sure your keeping an eye on it for all conditions to be right!! Take pictures when those beauties bloom

note too that the flowers are beginning to orient (turn) themselves on the pedicel. I can't wait to see these blooms. WTG!

...both spikes finally in almost full bloom. It took about 4-1/2 weeks from first spike sighting to this point.

This is labelled - V. Gordon Dillon 'Lea'

Your Vanda Gordon Dillon 'Lea' is a mericlone of the very beautiful plant that received an AM (81 points) in 1985.

D&S, you've got some beauties! Wish I was closer so I could pop in to see your collection!
