Default Vascostylis Memoria Clem Crosbie (re bloom)

This bloomed last summer for the third time(as pictured in my album) and this is the fourth time of a re bloom...
It was originally potted but I decided to put it on a bed of coconut fiber in a 6 inch redwood basket...the roots are just going berzerk on me and grows everywhere...I decided not to control it and just let it be
I give this the culture that I give any of my vandacious orchids...it got bug infested and didnt like the physan 20 as you can see on the top new leaves...so I decided to just give it a home made remedy mix...and I got rid of the bugs... it gave me a lesson not to get paranoid and resort to (chemicals)the big guns first...

Very nice! I'm a big fan of vascostylis. Most of them are frequent bloomers although some aren't. You's is very pretty. Good growing.

Nice vasco!
I'm just getting in to the vascos. I have a Pine river orange seedling. I don't know if it will be fragrant but I know that quite a few vasco are.

Poor thing is going to freeze its tootsies off!

Gotta love repeat bloomers! Personally, I have trouble with getting any of the vascos to bloom. I suspect it may be a watering issue.

Vandas and vascos are easy to bloom as long as they get enough food and light. It's easy to tell when to water them if you have them in baskets with sphag and charcoal.

Thank You, Ryan....I am not a master yet...but I am a very good follower of instructions...if it says vandacious doesnt like cold water in its roots...I obey and give them room temperature water...all my orchids have heater, humidifies and electric fans...

Thank You, Paul ! Promise , I only photographed this warm plant in the snow for a quick 1 minute...tops! I didnt let it freeze ! I ran up to my warm apartment immediately...vandacious must have bright shady light, humid warm environment and it loves to feed and drink a lot...water in the morning and spritz it when I come home in the afternoons...leave it alone at night...no winter or summer treatmens...just all year round non stop caring

Thank You, Vanda lover! I suspect that I have fragrance on this flower but I have never really paid attention...it ususally gives off scent at dawn but then again I am night shift and goes home around 10am...I cant wait to see you post your vandacious blooms
