A few days ago I received 6 vanda seedlings (my first attempt at vandas) dry root. The first thing I did was soak them in a very weak SuperThrive solution for an hour. For the first day I had them in a bag to up the humidity, but now I have them set up in vase culture.
All I'm really looking for from this is some suggestions on the growing conditions, how often to fertilize (since they are so young), how often to soak them for the vase culture, etc. I am open to any kind of tips 'cause I am really hoping to see these thrive.
If you have any additional questions about the conditions I'm providing just let me know.
Congrats on the seedlings, and welcome to Orchid Board!
I mist the roots of my Vanda seedlings thoroughly every morning. And once a week I soak them in fert water. I just fill the jars with the fert solution in the morning and dump it out when I get home from work. Then I usually skip misting the next morning because they are still drying from the fert soak. They seem to love it.
