Just wondering, if its in a basket, how do you water it? Im somewhat new to all this, I'd imagine if the roots are hanging out you'd spray them, but since there would be no potting medium- you couldnt water it ... let me know
if I'm heading in the wrong direction!! thanks

there are pictures a-plenty on my website (see profile), if its vandaceous, I grew it in a vase. It really is not a complicated system, they are dry most of the time, and just get sprayed. No need to leave water in the vase. They are bulky and space consuming but so are the plants ! Totally worth the effort thoughl....

Hi telipogon,
You have some fabulous and beautiful photos!

Back to 'vanda in a vase'. I saw something in your living room, but I still can't understand it.

Could you please post a photo of your set up and explain how you care for them.

Where do you grow all your wonderful orchids?

I am really curious on how you are growing vandas in your living room.

Thank you!
Buds!

Hi Cookiemonster,
I have just posted a new thread in Beginner Discussion: Water Culture. It is about growing in glass containers with just water and fertilizer.
I may try it with a Vanda. It is also very difficult to grow Vanda in my region.
