Buds are turning PURPLE! Hopefully these don't get munched on right before opening. I've been spraying with some neem oil stuff sometimes daily, so we'll see. I'm paranoid I know, but I was SO sad last time when the blooms opened up all mangled. Anyhow, buds are intact so far this go around.

Two buds have popped open tonight! I sprayed with neem oil concoction. They look perfect so far! But I did see a tiny single web strand on the spike. URRG! It's like the critters are just waiting for one little piece of raw bloom to show itself, an then they STRIKE! All paranoia aside, the opening blooms are so beautiful! I will post pics soon!

Here is what is opening so far. I can already see a couple of small blemishes on the first bloom.

Well, here it is! Just 2 more buds to open, and the color is still darkening, but it's almost there. I happy.

LOL I can't believe I didn't post the name. It's Vanda Pachara Delight. And the color is actually purple. Silly camera.

I know what you mean - my purple Ascda Princess Mikasa Blue would come out misleadingly blue on the pics too.
