Youre just paranoid...those blooms will open because you have a healthy happy plant...dont use too much neem oil on buds...use :
12 drops dish washing soap
1/2 teaspoon cinammon extract
2 cups tepid water

and spray those critters...make sure to douse all over the plant and soak the rooths with the rest of the mix to kill the eggs

its harmless to both mamals and plants but kills insects

my Vanda Pachara Delight bloomed last summer and I think it is spiking again...I will post pictures soon

Thanks Bud. I will love to see yours. And I will try out that recipe, sounds cheaper than what I'm using! But I am not paranoid without cause. The last set of blooms were mangled from thrips I believe. Anyway, I can't wait for my other two Vandas that are in spike to bloom. My favorite Vanda will probably open up in the next couple of weeks.
