I don't think anything is eating it, I did trim some brown tips from a few of the leaves, the temp here is 80-90 during the day and 55-65 during the night in the summer, during the winter the temp are about 65-75 day and sometime at night they might drop to the high 30's or low 40's but on average around 45-50 at night, I live near the coast of north San Diego county California, the Vanda got full sun all day long, all year long, as I never moved it until now, it will now receive full sun from early morning until about noon then it will be in the shade of the house eve. The fertilizer I use is Growmore 20-20-20 at the ratio of 1 teaspoon per gal. of tap water, I know that everyone says to use RO water but I have always used tap water and did not know to use RO until I joined the Orchid Board.

Hi, there was an article I read about the chemical contents of the tap water which may cause brown tips on the leaves. When I started buying RO water from a local store, my orchids' health improved. And since most fertilizers dont have calcium and magnesium, I supplement my fertilizer with CALMAG.

I have the pleasure of using well water. If it is possible, invest in a well just for irrigation. It's cheaper than buying water in the long run.
