New spike or keiki ?
I discovered this today
It might be a new spike, but it grows next to an old one and i did not think that could happen with vandas. Or is it a keiki ?

Not the best Vanda guy myself, but the shape of the growth looks more like an elongating spike. But, I'd wait on a more professional opinion.

I haven't seem mine put 2 spikes out of the same spot like that. mine blooms out of every leaf up one side, and every few up the other side. It likes to bloom out of one side more than the other for some reason.

I have not seen it before, so i could not belive it was a new spike.
I bought this plant last year, and its the first spike for me. A member on a swedish orchid forum have experienced the same thing with a Princess Mikasa, so maby its not so unusual

I think that these new hybrids want to bloom often, so I guess they will do it any way they can. I have heard that Princess Mikasa is a really good bloomer.

Very nice ! You have a new spike ready to bloom, in fact you have that sweet nectar that the buds produce...its not unusual to have a new spike come out of the old spike on the same position of the leaf site.
