Aerides unknown Male
Default Aerides unknown

The plant flowers in late summer every year. I used to consider this Aerides falcata, but recently i think that it may be wrong. Aer. falcata blooms in early summer here and i have another A. falcata, which is different from this one in their leaves and stems. In fact, the plant of this one do much like that of Aer. odorata or Aer. lawrenceae and hence i think this could be a hybrid aerides. Anyway, i like this one, especially their refreshing fragrance.

The shape of the flower is exactly like aerides boulletiana and it has the same color on the lip. Considered by some authorities to be a form of aerides falcata. It differs from A. falcata through flower color and narrower leaves. Nice flowers.
