V. Robert's Delight is a very good orchid. It's well known for those huge flowers. I don't know the answer to your question on ruffled edges. My plants either have them or don't. I don't think it's a matter of blooming differently at different times or growing indoors. Good luck on your collection. I've only been interested in vandacous orchids for about a year now but I really like them.
