Hi Merryt,
You may probably lose it now...But, you never know with orchids!!
.. If you manage to keep the roots growing or staying healthy then you will get a chance of maybe seeing a basal kekie forming

To answer a question you asked before (ref root/moss growing) I would cut off all dead/dry or mushy roots. Look to see & observe how the best roots are growing? With a bit of sphag under?(between roots and mount) /or growing best sunk into the sphag or direct on your mount?
Once you have observed this you can decide to remount.
My

worth is that if it were mine I would water & then leave out the 'aquarium tank' and would even put it in a 'draft' so as to make sure the leaf joints of leaves to stem and roots to stem are dry. Also I would 'lower' your sphag between the root joints & stem as it sits very 'high up' on your mount.
You could also install a fan into the tank........ But I am not up to sophisticated growing methods! but lot's of people on this board are..
Good Luck! Do keep us posted!
This is not one I would classify as 'easy' Yet !
