definitely has vanda coerulea in it. coerulea is often called the 'blue' orchid but some blues often have lots of magenta making them appear more pink - lavender.
After I've studyed some pictures with blue Vanda, my conclusion is that my orchid is more magenta, amethist... And I am glad it is like this, I like this color most.
Sometimes people say ''blue'' about a large range of colours. That's why I asked my question.
I would say Sansai Blue, that's the most common one available from holland. Sometimes sold as 'bue magic' but this hybrid does not exist on the RHS database.
Actually, Vanda Sansai Blue is registered at RHS. This hybrid is Vanda Crimson Glory x coerulea - the originator (hybridizer) was Keeree and it was registered in 1985.
Incidentally, there are 5 AOS awards to Vanda Sansai Blue - These are AMs (80 points) to 'Dark Waters', 'Meechai' and 'Blue Moon'. There is an FCC (91 points) for 'Ackers Pride ' and the most recent award (Feb 2007) is a CCM for 'Ackers Pride.
'Blue Magic' may be the epithet for a mericlone of Sansai Blue.
Clonal epithets are not part of the RHS info.
