Trichoglottis brachiata--vase? Female
Default Trichoglottis brachiata--vase?

Has anyone tried a Trichoglottis brachiata in vase culture? I would like to hear of others cultures/care of this plant.

I am not able to hang outside due to extreme aridity (RH in single digits), I do have a good sunny exposure. IN the sunroom, I can get humidity to 60-80%.

I have other vandaceous plants in vases & they are happy. Reckon the trichoglottis will do well, too?

TIA~~
Pedi

You gonna need a very tall vase for T. brachiata lol
Try putting some spanish moss in the vase, it helps to retain moinsture .

I would give it a try since your humidity is so low. I have a Vanda that use to hang in my tree but the hanger broke and I temporarily put it in a large plastic urn. The urn didn't have any drainage holes and the plant's roots were in water constantly for almost a month (lots of rain). The plant never looked better.
